About Connected Flow
Hi, I’m Chris, and I started Connected Flow in 2016.
The roots of Connected Flow trace back to my training at Rambert and London Contemporary Dance School. Alongside dance, I was introduced to various somatic practices: Alexander Technique, Body-Mind Centering, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, and Yoga. These disciplines encouraged a different kind of attention: to sensation, breath, weight, and the subtle ways we organise ourselves in movement.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance and working in the performing arts, yoga and experiential movement remained central to my own practice. They helped me care for my body while opening up a broader, more curious approach to movement.
Connected Flow grew from a desire to share these ideas. I've always been interested in what happens when we stop worrying about the external view of performing something “correctly”, and instead become more curious about how it actually feels to practice.
Over the years, my work has expanded to include soft tissue therapy. Training in sports massage, kinesiology taping, and cupping gave me additional tools to support injury recovery and help clients find greater physical ease. Recently completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha & Vinyasa has brought the practice full circle, allowing me to further integrate these methodologies into my teaching and clinical work.
As a teacher and practitioner, I'm interested in the space between structure and exploration: giving you enough guidance to feel supported, while leaving space for you to discover what your body needs—whether that is strengthening, hands-on treatment, or simple rest.
As a student, I'm still learning, still exploring, and still asking questions—and Connected Flow is designed to leave room for you to do the same.
